Le réseau européen des matériauthèques du patrimoine architectural regroupe depuis 2020 plusieurs partenaires en Allemagne, en Autriche, en Belgique, en France et en République tchèque.
Les objectifs communs du réseau sont la gestion de collections de matériaux d’architecture et d’outils issus du patrimoine architectural pour leur conservation, étude et valorisation. Ces matériaux, véhicules de savoirs et savoir-faire, sont des références matérielles pour les professionnels et futurs professionnels du secteur de la restauration architecturale et de la recherche (architectes, archéologues, archéologues du bâtiment, historiens de l’architecture, ingénieurs, artisans) et servent de support dans la transmission des compétences pour les métiers traditionnels tels que la charpenterie, la menuiserie, la taille de pierre, la couverture, la maçonnerie à la chaux, la terre cuite, les revêtements de sols et murs, le vitrail, la ferronnerie (…) . Ils sont aussi un moyen de connaissance auprès d’un public universitaire et du grand public, notamment à l’occasion des Journées européennes du patrimoine et par le biais de bases de données en ligne. Ils permettent d’éveiller à la richesse de notre patrimoine architectural européen.
Chaque année, une rencontre avec tous les partenaires est organisée pour échanger sur les bonnes pratiques (inventaire, sélection, conservation, formation, sensibilisation…) et discuter des thématiques spécifiques comme la sélection et conservation des matériaux d’architecture contemporaine , la promotion des matériaux authentiques via les techniques traditionnelles et du remploi dans le cadre de la lutte du réchauffement climatique ou encore de la valorisation des savoirs et techniques en restauration du patrimoine architectural qui sont en train de disparaître….
Chaque institution a ses spécificités culturelles liées à l’histoire du lieu qui l’a vu se développer, une gestion et des objectifs ciblés qui lui sont propres. Ensemble, nous formons une grande matériauthèque transeuropéenne, riche des expériences de chacun. Le réseau est ouvert aux projets qui vont dans la même direction et qui souhaitent partager les bonnes pratiques de gestion et de sensibilisation dans ce domaine.

Heritage building Material Libraries European Network

Since 2020, the European Network of Architectural Heritage Materials Libraries has brought together several partners from Austria, Belgium, France, Germany and from the Czech Republic.
The common objective of this network is to manage collections of building materials, elements and structures or parts thereof from the architectural heritage for the purpose of their preservation, study and interpretation. These materials, where the knowledge and skills of our ancestors have been preserved, represent tangible references for current and future professionals in the field of architectural and restoration activities (architects, archaeologists, architectural historians, engineers and craftsmen) and can be used to transmit skills in traditional crafts such as carpentry, joinery, stonework, roofing, lime technology, masonry, work with clay and fired ceramics, floors and wall surfaces, coverings, stained glass, ironwork. They also provide a means of disseminating knowledge between professionals and the general public, in particular during European Heritage Days and through online databases. They help to raise awareness of the richness of our European architectural and building heritage.
Every year, a meeting of all partners is held to discuss the basic topics of this field (inventory, selection, conservation, education, awareness, etc.) and also address specific topics, such as the selection and conservation of materials for contemporary architecture, the promotion of authentic materials through traditional techniques and their reuse in the context of climate change, or the promotion of knowledge and techniques that contribute to the preservation of endangered architectural heritage.
Each institution has its cultural specificities linked to the history of the country in which it has developed, its own management and targeted objectives. Together, we form a large trans-European material library, rich in each other's experiences. The network is open to projects that are moving in the same direction and that wish to share good management and awareness-raising practices in this area.

Europäisches Netzwerk der Materialbibliotheken für Baukultur

Seit 2020 vereint das Europäisches Netzwerk der Materialbibliotheken für Baukultur mehrere Partner in Belgien, Deutschland, Frankreich, Österreich und der Tschechischen Republik.
Die gemeinsamen Ziele des Netzwerks sind die Verwaltung von Sammlungen von Baumaterialien und Werkzeugen aus dem architektonischen Erbe zu deren Erhaltung, Erforschung und Vermittlung. Diese Materialien dienen als Träger von Wissen und handwerklichem Können und stellen greifbare Referenzen für Fachleute im Bereich der Baudenkmalpflege dar (Architekt:innen, Archäolog:innen, Architekturhistoriker:innen, Handwerker:innen) und können für die Weitergabe von Fertigkeiten in traditionellen Gewerken wie der Zimmererei und Tischlerei, Steinmetz-, Dachdecker- und Maurerarbeiten sowie unter anderem über Baukeramik, Lehm, Fußböden, Wandverkleidungen, Buntglas und Metall- und Schmiedearbeiten genutzt werden. Dazu gehören unter anderem rohe und gebrannte Erden, Boden- und Wandbeläge, Glasmalerei oder Metall- und Schmiedearbeiten. Sie tragen dazu bei, den Reichtum unseres europäischen architektonischen Erbes bewusst zu machen.
Jedes Jahr wird ein Treffen der Partner organisiert, um bewährte Praktiken (Inventarisierung, Auswahl, Konservierung, Ausbildung, Sensibilisierung etc.) zu erörtern und spezifische Themen zu behandeln, wie etwa die Auswahl und Erhaltung von Baumaterialien der Architektur nach 1950, die Förderung authentischer Materialien durch traditionelle Techniken im Kontext des Klimawandels oder die Vermittlung von verschwindenden Techniken in der Restaurierung des architektonischen Erbes.
Jedes Institution weist kulturelle Besonderheiten auf, hat eigene Organisationsstrukturen und eine spezifische Zielsetzung. Gemeinsam bilden wir eine große, transeuropäische Materialsammlung, die vom gegenseitigen Erfahrungsaustausch lebt. Das Netzwerk ist offen für Projekte, die in die gleiche Richtung gehen und gute Praktiken im Bereich der Verwaltung und Sensibilisierung teilen möchten.

Evropská síť materiaték

Evropská síť materiaték sdružuje od roku 2020 několik partnerů z Rakouska, Belgie, Francie, Německa a České republiky.
Společným cílem této sítě je správa sbírek stavebních materiálů, prvků a konstrukcí nebo jejich částí z architektonického dědictví za účelem jejich uchování, studia a interpretace. Tyto materiály, kde se uchovaly znalosti a dovednosti našich předků, představují hmatatelné reference pro současné i budoucí odborníky v oblasti architektonické a restaurátorské činnosti (architekty, archeology, historiky architektury, inženýry a řemeslníky) a mohou být využity k předávání dovedností v tradičních řemeslech, jako jsou tesařství, truhlářství, kamenictví, pokrývačství, vápenné technologie, zednictví, práce s hlínou i pálenou keramikou, podlahy a povrchy stěn, krytiny, vitráže, kovářské výrobky. Dále poskytují prostředek k šíření znalostí mezi odborníky a širokou veřejností, zejména během Dnů evropského dědictví a prostřednictvím online databází. Pomáhají probudit povědomí o bohatství našeho evropského architektonického a stavitelského dědictví.
Každý rok se koná setkání všech partnerů, na kterém se diskutuje o základních tématech tohoto oboru (inventarizace, výběr, konzervace, edukace, osvěta atd.) a řeší se i specifická témata, jako jsou např. výběr a konzervace materiálů současné architektury, propagace autentických materiálů prostřednictvím tradičních technik a jejich opětovné použití v kontextu klimatických změn nebo propagace znalostí a technik, které přispívají k uchování ohroženého architektonického dědictví.
Každý projekt má svá kulturní specifika související s historií země ve které vznikl, se svým vlastním řízením a zaměřením. Společně tvoříme velkou transevropskou knihovnu materiálů, kde se promítají zkušenosti každého z nás. Síť je otevřená projektům, které směřují stejným směrem a které chtějí sdílet své osvědčené zkušenosti a podílet se na zvyšování obecného povědomí o tomto oboru.
